It's important to keep your eyeballs healthy as a type 1 diabetic. You only have one pair, and T1D can really cause problems if you don't have good control over the long term.
As type 1 diabetics, we need to pay attention to our eyeball health perhaps even more than the average person because of our risk of developing diabetic retinopathy.
